Chooi Seng is known as the Founder and the first Executive Director of Focus on the Family, Singapore during the late 1990s. He was personally trained in USA by FOTF founder Dr James Dobson. During his tenure with FOTF (SG), he ran the weekly one hour radio broadcast on FM 93.8, as well as the daily commentary.
In 1998, Chooi Seng was one of the very first to be certified in the Prepare/Enrich train-the-trainer program by founder Dr David Olsen, which is the highest level accreditation for Seminar Directors. Today, he continues to certify P/E facilitators in Singapore and ASEAN regions like Thailand, Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Indonesia etc.
Chooi Seng served as the Chairman of St Andrew’s Lifestream (a Counseling & Education Agency) in Singapore. He is also a clinical supervisor for counselling students from Edith Cowan, Monash University, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, NIE etc.
Chooi Seng is also a pioneer who helps build compassionate communities. He had led Seasons, a Support Group for singles who have suffered personal loss. He also facilitates a Widowers Support Group that attempts to normalise grief in a safe & non-judgemental way.
